Outrun is a trading name of PRWN LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16554885).
This policy is part of the Outrun terms of service.
Outrun gives you a short list of business leads each weekday. What you do with it is your responsibility. These are the rules.
1. Use leads for business-to-business outreach only
Contact people about their work, at their work address, about something relevant to their role. Do not use leads to market to people as consumers, and do not use work contact details for anything unrelated to the person’s job.
2. Follow the law where you send
In the UK that means the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Other countries have their own rules; the ones where your recipient is, or where you are, may apply. This is general information, not legal advice.
3. Identify yourself, and make stopping easy
Every message must say who it is from and give a simple way to opt out. Do not hide your identity, use a false sender name, or write misleading subject lines. Do not say or suggest that Outrun sent the message or endorses you.
4. Tell people where you found them
Outrun is not the sender of your emails. You are. In your first message to anyone whose details came from Outrun, say that you found their details in a public source, through Outrun, and link to https://outrun.so/privacy and https://outrun.so/remove. Answer honestly if they ask where you got their details.
5. Honour removals
If someone asks you to stop, stop, and do not contact them again. If someone tells you they asked Outrun to remove their details, take them off your own lists and CRM too. We can remove a person from Outrun, but we cannot remove copies you have already saved.
6. No spam, no abuse
Do not send bulk unsolicited messages, use the data for harassment, discrimination or any unlawful purpose, send misleading or deceptive messages, or target people because of protected characteristics.
7. If you make calls
Outrun does not supply phone numbers. If you call someone from a number you found elsewhere, check the number against the Telephone Preference Service (and the Corporate TPS for companies) first.
8. Keep the data to yourself
Do not resell, publish, share or give leads to anyone outside your team, and do not use them to build a rival database or service.
9. Do not misuse the service
Do not copy, reverse engineer or overload Outrun, use automated tools to pull data out of it, get around plan limits, or try to reach it other than through the interfaces we provide. Keep your login details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
10. Check the data before you rely on it
Leads can be wrong or out of date. If a contact is wrong or bounces, tell us and we will look at it (see the refunds page for the replacement lead).
What happens if you break these rules
We may warn you, pause your account or end it, without notice if the breach is serious. If we end your account for a breach, we do not refund what you have paid, except where the law requires.
We cannot see what customers send. If you think someone has misused Outrun leads, or you got a message that you think came from an Outrun customer, email hello@outrun.so with the details and we will look at it. If you want your own details removed, go to https://outrun.so/remove.
