Cookie notice

What Outrun stores in your browser, and why.

Our approach

We ask before we set any advertising or attribution cookie. Until you click Accept in the cookie banner, no analytics or advertising tool loads and no attribution cookie is set. If you click Reject, nothing changes: the site works the same.

What we store in your browser

  • Currency (outrun-geo cookie, 1 day): shows prices in pounds or dollars. It records only the currency, not your location.
  • Theme preference (outrun-theme, local storage): remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme.
  • Billing preference (outrun-billing, session storage, cleared when you close the tab): remembers whether you were viewing monthly or annual prices.
  • Campaign source (session storage, cleared when you close the tab): records which link brought you here.
  • Cookie choice (or_consent cookie, 6 months): remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies, so we don’t ask again.
  • Vercel Web Analytics: counts page views without cookies or personal identifiers.

None of these are tracking cookies. The campaign source is sent with your sign-up if you create an account; the rest never leave your device. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Only if you accept

  • First visit source (or_ft cookie, 13 months): records the link or ad that first brought you to Outrun (campaign tags, ad click ID, landing page, referring site and time). It is set once and never overwritten, and it is sent with your sign-up if you create an account.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google): measures how people use the site, such as which pages they visit.
  • Google Ads (Google): measures which Google ads lead to visits and sign-ups (ad conversions).
  • Reddit Pixel (Reddit): measures which Reddit ads lead to visits and sign-ups (ad conversions).

These three load only after you click Accept. Google and Reddit set their own cookies to do this. Meta and X advertising pixels may be added later; if they are, they will also load only after you accept.

To withdraw consent, use the Change cookie settings button above and choose Reject. We then delete the or_ft cookie and none of these tools load on later pages. To remove cookies Google or Reddit have already set, clear your cookies in your browser settings.

When you log in or pay

When you log in to the Outrun app, we use strictly necessary cookies or browser storage to keep you signed in securely. When you pay, Stripe may set its own strictly necessary cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud; see Stripe’s cookie information.
