Signals and sources
Seven reasons to reach out today.
Outrun only sends a pick when a company that fits your ICP does something that suggests it’s ready to buy.
Sources
Where the data comes from.
- Funding news
Public announcements from tech and business press, read through RSS. Every fact links back to its source.
- Public posts on X
Founders’ and companies’ own public posts, through the official X API.
- Job boards
Open roles on companies’ public job boards. A first sales hire is a strong signal.
- Contact data
From a licensed contact data provider: name, role, work email and, where the provider has it, a LinkedIn profile link (plus a phone number on Pro). Outrun does not use LinkedIn data.
- Reddit
Public posts in relevant subreddits such as r/sales, r/startups and r/SaaS, through Reddit’s official Data API.
- SEC EDGAR
US Form D filings (new funding rounds) and officer filings, so the same signals work for US companies.
- Companies House
UK company filings, such as new officers and incorporations.
Data rules
Used carefully.
